In English schools, children go to school earlier than in Russian ones – at the age of 4-5. These two years are very important for developing child’s English skills and establishing contact with classmates.
The first two years in primary school in the UK are very similar to the activities of a kindergarten: children play a lot, walk outdoors under the supervision of teachers, draw, sing and participate in various creative activities.
The first two classes Year 1 and Year 2 are the best preparation for admission to the British School in Moscow. First grade in school (Grade 1) is Year 3 of the British curriculum.
