MAGIC CASTLE International School follows the National Curriculum for England. The cut off date is September 30. We deliver a high standard of education in a wide cultural context. Our children learn about the world through personal observation, hands-on experience and exposure to a range of input about our Themes of Inquiry.
Russian language as part of our standard programme take up some time in the afternoon with Speech Development, Reading, Writing and Russian Music. Children are equally ready for a Russian school by the end of our pre-school programme.
Academic assessments are conducted 4 times a year and individual progress meetings are held with each family twice a year.

MINI CLUB/PRE-NURSERY
1/2 YEARS OLD
In the first two years of school life our goal is to boost a child’s independ-ence, build up social skills and help them admire the world around.
Children learn to talk about everyday objects and occurrences, develop a correct pencil grip, gross and fine motor skills.

3 YEARS OLD
Nursery is the start of the Reading programme and by the end of this year children will be able to read shortwords and write their name.
We are learning numbers, shapes and doing logical tasks.

4 YEARS OLD
By the end of Reception your child will read and write in English and Russian.
They will make good friends and make progress in learning to manage their emotions.
They explore a wide range of extra classes and go to first competitions.

5 YEARS OLD
This year children learn to explore different forms and styles of writing and expand it.
They will go through 5 reading levels and move on to operations in Mathematics.
They make major progress in extra classes and start going to national competitions.

6 YEARS OLD
Year 2 takes children to an advanced level of Mathematics, including multi-plication and division.
They develop creativity in writing and are comfortable expanding their pieces.
Their confidence and independence allow them to proceed successfully in further grades.
