With MAGIC CASTLE British school online your child has a chance to follow the British curriculum anywhere any time. Our professional native speaker teachers from the UK, the USA or Australia will make sure that your child completes the curriculum requirements.
We enroll your child in a group by age and standard of knowledge from Nursery (3-4yo) onwards. Your child will have classes in English, Maths and Science with some homework assigned and checked every class.
All the classes are conducted in English with professional teachers of the National Curriculum for England.

BRITISH SCHOOL ONLINE for children 4-6yo

Children 4-6yo learn according to National Curriculum for Reception-Year 2 where children learn to read and write, develop their mathematical and speaking skills.
As all classes are conducted in English with a native speaker teacher confident understanding and speaking English is required.
Enrollment is conducted upon the results of an entry test. There is limited availability for the programme.

HOW ONLINE CLASSES ARE CONDUCTED

Online school classes are taught through Skype or Zoom in groups of 2-6 students. Small groups allow the teacher to monitor each student’s progress carefully.
Classes for children under 6 yo are 20-30 min and for older children 90 min. This timing is most effective in maintaining children’s concentration. Within one class for younger children there is regular change of activity from more active to that which requires focus.
All online classes are conducted in English (or another target language). Class activities include checking homework, learning a new theme, practicing it in speaking and writing.

FAQ

Can a child study without translation if they do not speak any English?

Sure. Being exposed to natural speech which is illustrated with body language, pictures or context is the best and the fastest way to learn a language. Every class from the very beginning is interactive and involves a child into play or study. Your child will understand words and phrases from the first or second class.

Do parents have to be in the class?

You do not need to be in the class if your child has already been exposed to English. If your child has never heard English before you might want to support them in the first 1-2 classes. Afterwards, they will be engaged in classes and will not need your support.

Do we need to help children translate words into Russian?

A communicative approach guarantees that your child will use English naturally, attaching meaning to objects and actions. That is why later on they will be able to think in English without translating every word.

At what age can my child start English classes online?

Children from 3yo are happy with online classes. Charismatic and active teachers deliver classes that are engaging and effective and every child is involved.

What materials do you need for online classes?

For little children you will not need any materials apart from toys, pencils, markers, paper. A teacher may ask your child to find items of a particular colour or shape. Any handouts that your child may need will be available for you online.

How is a class with children under 6yo conducted?

For children under 6yo each class is a game. The new theme is introduced in an interactive puppet show where your child is motivated to repeat and communicate with the teacher.

How is a class with children over 6yo conducted?

Activities change every 15-20 min of the 90min class – a speaking activity, writing, grammar or vocabulary are introduced and practiced through interactive communicative activities and supported by individual work. Team games and exchange activities help motivate children to speak and make friends.
