On winter vacation we were in Oslo and my child couldn’t wait to go skating, although generally she is not the biggest fan of the sport. However, as she had been doing skating for some time she was quite confident and tried to practise all kinds of special moves.
But what really sparked her attention was some people who could not skate well. She picked some of these beginners and literally pushed them around showing them some moves. I had to leave for some 40 minutes. To my surprise when I was back I saw my child directing a few people around the rink: “Please, ladies you take care of the man, help him!” , “You have to go, please, do not sit!” Worried that she might be behaving in a slightly imposing way I collected my daughter and we went to change. My other surprise was when 2 families came up to us and said “Thank you” to her for teaching their whole family to skate! The families were from France and from South Africa and, apparently, my child taught them some useful skating techniques!
